Product Testing We have the expertise and experience to test your medical and food packaging product performance. PSI offers cGMP testing services on large or small projects. We work with standard test methods and will develop custom methods for your specific need. Typical analytical methods include differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to determine glass transition temperature and level of crystallinity, gel permeation chromatography (GPC or SEC) for molecular weight distribution, residual monomer or solvent determination (we can assist you with BPA analysis) by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and inherent viscosity (IV) for molecular weight determination. Additional capabilities that are advantageous in PLA characterization include mechanical property analysis under in-vitro conditions (via MTS) and rheometric analysis. PSI will assist you in developing a customized materials testing program, providing you with certified documentation for your submission to the FDA.
