Epoxy Composite

A client had several samples of epoxy composite for reinforcement content determination.

The samples were weighed and the epoxy digested in a mixture of hot sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide. The insoluble reinforcement was filtered, rinsed, dried and weighed, and the reinforcement content was calculated.
