Job Opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist



Polymer Solutions Incorporated is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist whose primary job responsibility is sales. Compensation will include base plus commission and benefits.  Limited over-night travel is expected.

Responsibilities:


  • The person will work cooperatively with the activities of our Customer Service and Sales Department, our Project Management Department, and our technical and administrative staff.
  • Intake and initiation of project opportunities
  • Develop project tests and tasks to meet the client’s unique objectives
  • Develop and maintain satisfied clients
  • Be a client advocate and take ownership of their project during its complete lifecycle
  • The person in this position must adhere to a highly professional mixed selling model consisting of relational and consultative methods.

Requirements:


  • Candidate should be familiar with the properties, processing, applications, and analysis of plastic and rubber materials.
  • At least five years of technical experience is required and an appropriate college degree is preferred.  Listening, speaking, and writing skills (English) must be above average. 
  • Fluency with Spanish (speaking and writing) is a plus.
  • Must have experience with failure analysis and/or material or product development
  • Wants to be part of a great team - not a Lone Ranger
  • Has at least a general understanding of the various test methods that PSI performs
