Image analysis entails taking measurements and performing statistical analysis using software programs based on those measurements
Dimensions of objects in images obtained using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), or Optical Microscopy (OM) can be measured.
Applications:
- Distribution of phase sizes.
- Distributions of glass fiber sizes in glass-filled components.
- Length to diameter ratios.
- Layer thickness of laminated films or multi-layer products.
- Defect size and distribution analysis.
