The creation of Lichtenberg Figures

The interiors of these specimens were previously charged to over 2.1 million volts using a 5 MeV particle accelerator, were then manually discharged to create the Lichtenberg figure, the main discharge only lasts for about 300 billionths of a second, is over 3,000 amps, and smaller secondary discharges continue to sparkle for tens of minutes as residual trapped charges redistribute themselves.
