X-Ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD)
SGS provides X-ray diffraction analysis on plastic materials to determine the percent crystallinity.
SGS provides X-ray diffraction analysis on plastic materials to determine the percent crystallinity.
Many polymeric materials have regions of crystallinity that affect their properties. The amount and size of these crystal structures can be affected by the chemical structure, processing conditions and additives. XRD is used to characterize this property.
XRD works by irradiating a material with incident X-rays and then measuring the intensities and scattering angles of the X-rays that leave the material.
